60th Congress of the French Economic Association

Paris (Nanterre), France, September 8-9, 2011

You are invited to submit a paper to the 60th Congress of the French Economic Association (AFSE) to be held in Paris on September 8-9, 2011.

All papers (full papers, draft) submitted for this conference will be peer-reviewed and accepted on the basis of their scientific merit. The deadline for submitting a paper is 1st April, 23:59 (European time). Decisions will be notified by the end of May 2011.

We are pleased to announce the following plenary speakers:

Alan KIRMAN, EHESS (inaugural address)
Pierre-André CHIAPPORI, Columbia University (Jean-Jacques Laffont conference)
Marie Claire VILLEVAL (presidential address).

A JOB MARKET FOR ECONOMISTS (“Forum pour l’Emploi des Economistes”) will be held during the conference. Preliminary registration for interviews via the AFSE website will be required to access the job market during the congress. Beware: please read the following page to learn how to apply for an academic job in France (procedures and important deadlines).

PRIZES for the best article written by a young economist and for the best PhD dissertations in economics (AFSE) and in monetary and financial economics (Fondation Banque de France) will be awarded during the Congress.
