42nd JMA
The Grenoble Applied Economics Laboratory(GAEL) is honored to organize the 42nd Journées de Microéconomie Appliquée (JMA), to be held at Grenoble Alpes University on Thursday June 4 and Friday June 5, 2026.
The Journées de Microéconomie Appliquée (JMA) take place every year in a different university town, in France, in a French-speaking country or in a neighboring European country. They welcome senior, junior and doctoral researchers whose original work contributes to broadening and enriching the fields of application of microeconomic theory.
Submissions must be made in full text by February 1, 2026. Job market participants will be able to identify themselves at the time of submission, and a special section will be opened to highlight such presentations. A call for papers for a special issue of the Revue Economique will be open to successful submissions.
The inaugural lecture will be given by Jérôme Adda, Professor in the Department of Economics at Bocconi University since 2014. His research focuses on health economics, labor economics and macroeconomics. His main contributions focus on the effect of public policies on health behaviors, the analysis of the spread of diseases, the links between income and health, the role of human capital in career choices and wage growth over the life cycle.
All original contributions dealing with applications of microeconomic theory are welcome: consumption and demand analysis, cost and production analysis, industrial and organizational economics, economics of innovation, economics of work, education, health and the family, economics of migration, public economics, spatial and geographical economics, transport economics, microeconomics, economics of the economy and the environment.conomie des transports, microéconomie financière, risque et assurance, économie du développement, économie du bien-être, économie agricole, économics of the environment and natural resources, economics of law, behavioral and experimental economics, applied microeconometrics, etc.
How to submit
Only proposals including a full paper, even in a draft version, will be considered by the scientific committee.
The first page must include :
- title
- the name(s) of the author(s)
- an abstract
- keywords
- JEL classification
- contact details (first name, surname, postal address, e-mail address) of the corresponding author.

Important dates
- The deadline for receipt of proposals is February 1, 2026.
