  • Companies and market strategies 2025 - 2nd meeting - Companies and ecological transition

September 30, 2025 - See details

The commission will focus on two specific aspects of measuring companies' contribution to the ecological transition: what is the statistical potential of data from the social and environmental reporting of large companies at European level? How can the energy consumption of companies be described in detail, beyond macroeconomic data?
Particular attention will be paid to the tertiary sector; data center consumption will also be discussed, along with prospects for enriching this microdata with other data.
Opinions of opportunity will be sought for the following surveys: Terres travaillables (Terlab), Structure des Exploitations Agricoles (ESEA) 2026, Enquête sur les pratiques phytosanitaires en 2026, Filière du médicament, consommations d'énergie dans le tertiaire (ECET), Technologies de l'information et de la communication et le commerce électronique pour les entreprises ayant moins de 10 personnes occupées (TIC-TPE), les entreprises et la sous-traitance.

  • Financial system and financing the economy - 2025 - 2nd meeting - National accounts and balance of payments: what major changes lie ahead? Environment, digital technology, internationalization of trade.

November 06, 2025 - See details

How will national accounts and balance of payments adapt to new macroeconomic realities?

The international normative framework for national accounting, or SNA (System of National Accounts), has just been revised, with SNA 2025 succeeding SNA 2008 and SNA 1993, as well as the Balance of Payments (from the 6th to the 7th manual). The European version is currently under discussion.
What new features are planned - mandatory and/or optional - to better reflect the environment, the digital economy and the effects of internationalization in macroeconomic statistics? What is the timetable for future implementation in France?
The commission will also provide an opportunity to present the national accounts users' committee that INSEE is setting up to deepen dialogue with users.
