Call for papers
9th Conference on
Public Policy Evaluation
organized by AFSE and the Direction Générale du Trésor
Thursday, December 7, 2023

Conceived as a meeting place for members of the economic administration and academic economists, this annual conference aims to bring together contributions on the quantitative analysis and evaluation of the impact of public policies, making it possible to identify effective policies, offer elements of international comparison and present the most recent methods.

This year's conference will be opened by Michèle Belot, Professor at Cornell University, who will deliver a keynote lecture on recent developments in the labor market. In addition, Philippe Martin, Dean of Sciences Po's School of Public Affairs and Deputy Chairman of the Conseil d'Analyse Économique from 2018 to 2022, will chair a round table on evaluation and decision-making in times of crisis.

Contributions will be invited on a range of public policies (macroeconomic, fiscal, social, environmental, sectoral, territorial, etc.).

All methodologies and fields of evaluation are welcome. Contributions will be selected both on the basis of the usual academic criteria of quality and on their interest for informing public decision-making, with particular attention paid by the program committee to submissions dealing with French policies or policies that can be transposed to France.

Submissions (in the form of articles written entirely in French or English) should be sent to afsetresor@afse.fr by September 8, 2023.
