Gilles Rotillon dies

AFSE is deeply saddened to announce the death of Gilles Rotillon. Professor emeritus at the University of Paris Nanterre and member of EconomiX, Gilles conducted research in the field of environmental economics, devoting most of his work to international negotiations on climate change, agricultural policy regulation, pollution rights markets and sustainable development. The author of several textbooks, essays and leading articles in the field, he has trained generations of students in environmental and natural resource economics, and supervised numerous doctoral students. A passionate researcher, only a few days before his death he was recording a video on research funding - faithful to his passion for knowledge and transmission right up to the last moment. AFSE associates itself with the grief of his family and friends.
